The body behind
your golf.
A 10-week golf performance and rehabilitation program, one to one with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. For golfers who want more distance, a stronger back nine, or a clear plan out of pain.
Ten weeks, fully individualised, in person at 4D. Enrolments close at the end of October.
Free, no obligation. Talk it through with the EP who runs the program. If it is not right for you, Luke will tell you on the call.
Golfers come to us for one of two reasons.
- Your back, elbow or shoulder complains during or after a round, and nobody has explained why
- You suspect the way you swing, walk and practise is feeding the problem, but you do not know what to change
- You have rested it, and it comes back the moment you play again
- You are returning from an injury and do not trust your body yet
The program starts by answering the why. A full assessment of your strength, range of motion and movement, then a week by week plan to rebuild capacity so golf stops being the thing that hurts you.
- Your drives have crept shorter and your mates have noticed before you did
- Club head speed has flatlined no matter how much you play
- You strike it well for 12 holes, then your body fades before the round does
- You know strength work would help but generic gym programs never stick
Distance is a physical quality. Strength and power profiling shows exactly where your speed is leaking, then the program trains it, measurably, with a retest at the end.
What the ten weeks include.
How the ten weeks run.
To be clear: this is not golf coaching.
We are not here to change your swing or give you golf lessons, and we will not pretend to. Keep your pro for that.
We work on the body behind your golf. The strength, power, mobility and resilience needed to perform, to handle the demands of the game, and to keep you on the course rather than on the physio table. When the body improves, the swing you already have gets more to work with.
Every program is written from your numbers.
GolfStrong is run by Luke Grima, ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist at 4D Health & Performance. Luke works inside a multidisciplinary clinic alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors, which matters most when the reason you are here is pain: the assessment is clinical, not a gym questionnaire.
Every golfer in the program is assessed first and trained one to one. No templates, no group classes, no program that ignores your injury history or your schedule.
Quick questions.
No. The program runs two ways: performance (distance, club head speed, endurance on the course) and rehabilitation (getting out of pain, returning from injury). Your assessment in week one determines which way your program leans, and many golfers need a bit of both.
No. This is not golf coaching and we do not touch technique. We improve the physical qualities your swing runs on: strength, power, mobility and capacity. Golfers who work with a coach or pro find the two complement each other.
One session in the clinic with Luke each week, plus your own sessions from the app program, built around the days you can actually train and the golf you already play.
Exercise physiology consultations may attract a rebate depending on your level of extras cover. Check with your fund, we will never tell you what your fund will pay.
A short, free phone call with Luke. You talk through your golf, your pain or your goals, and he tells you honestly whether GolfStrong is the right thing for you. If it is, you book your initial assessment. If it is not, he will say so and point you at what would help instead. No payment is taken on the call.
