What is
Chiropractic?
Chiropractors are university-trained to assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries. Our chiropractors at 4D Health and Performance run extensive, thorough assessments to give you an accurate diagnosis — identifying the root cause of your pain or dysfunction, not just managing its symptoms.
Our assessment toolkit includes spinal examination, orthopaedic and neurological testing, functional movement screening, diagnostic imaging interpretation (X-Ray, MRI, CT), muscle motor and sensory testing, and a comprehensive medical history — giving you and your practitioner a complete picture before treatment begins.

Our CBD clinic sits right near Town Hall and the QVB, with appointments available 6 days a week. Both our CBD and Norwest facilities have fully equipped rehabilitation gyms, allowing your chiropractor to take you through a complete treatment and rehab program on site.

Treatment
techniques.
Our chiropractors combine a broad range of evidence-based techniques — tailoring each treatment to the specific presentation, not defaulting to a single modality. Every tool in the toolkit is applied with clinical precision and purpose.
All of our chiropractors hold advanced postgraduate qualifications across dry needling and functional rehabilitation, and regularly update their skills through ongoing continuing education.
Trigger-point dry needling uses fine acupuncture needles to target myofascial trigger points — hypersensitive, hyperirritable spots in skeletal muscle associated with palpable nodules in taut bands. Can be applied at superficial or deep tissue level. All of our chiropractors are advanced-level qualified and regularly refresh through ongoing education.
Targeted techniques designed to improve range of motion and movement quality of specific joints. May assist with temporary relief of musculoskeletal pain, improvements in flexibility and movement, and a return to function. Applied precisely to the specific joint and direction of restriction identified in assessment.
A soft tissue method that focuses on relieving tissue tension through the removal of adhesions — which can develop due to overload from repetitive use. Tissue lesions, trigger points, and fascial adhesions may contribute to muscular weakness, numbness, aching, tingling, and burning sensations. ART addresses the mechanical root of these symptoms.
Both rigid and dynamic taping may be used to provide joint support, facilitate fluid drainage, and assist in early phase injury management. Taping strategies are selected based on presentation, phase of injury, and return-to-activity goals.
Our chiropractors are trained to design and deliver injury rehabilitation programs from acute phase all the way through return to sport. Both our CBD and Norwest facilities have fully functional rehabilitation gyms, enabling your chiropractor to take you through a complete rehab program in a 1-on-1 setting on site.
All of our practitioners prioritise communication throughout and beyond treatment. Advice, education, home exercise programs, load management guidance, and ongoing support are part of every patient journey — not an optional extra.
