Exercise Physiology at Norwest with Navneet Mahajan

Why did you study Exercise Physiology?

A few factors have played a role in my decision to study Exercise Physiology.

First, human movement and interaction of body systems has always fascinated me and stimulated me to learn more about it. And second, I wanted my work to matter. Helping people get free of pain and improving their ability to better function is very gratifying.

What conditions can exercise physiology help with and what do you have a special interest in?

Some of the conditions I work with include chronic diseases or conditions such as Type II diabetes, Hypertension, chronic pain, Asthma, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, musculoskeletal conditions or injury rehabilitation as well as chronic back and neck pain.

I have special interest and extensive experience in women’s health related issues such as Prolapse, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, PCOS. I also help pregnant and postpartum women maintain or improve fitness and assist with pregnancy related issues such as Diastasis Recti.

What do you love most about your exercise physiology clients at 4D Norwest?

I believe that creativity is an integral part of who I am. Teaching myself a new hobby is an exhilarating journey of exploration and growth and recently I have been learning how to sew in my free time. Exploring different techniques and patterns allows me to unleash my creativity while honing my skills in this craft. I would say it is interesting!
